Project Implementation

The project is expected to be implemented in two stages.

 

At the first stage, mining will be carried out by open-pit method at Chernogorskoye deposit, and at the second stage — by underground method at the southern part of Norilsk-1 deposit.

The project includes construction of two concentrators and a smelter.

Alliance Group has all necessary resources: finances, experienced staff and advanced technology.

The total production capacity after completion of two stages of the project will amount to 14 million tons per year

There is an option to build a third concentrator with an increase in the total production capacity up to 21 million tonnes/year and life of mine reduction to 40 years.

The project is implemented in two stages and will last from 2024 to 2077.

At the first stage, the reserves of Chernogorsky open pit will be involved in development (start of ore mining from 2023, start of processing at Concentration Plant 1 - 2024).

The production volume will be 7 million tons per year. Concentration complex will be located in close proximity to the open pit.

Hydrometallurgy

Hydrometallurgy Production

The metallurgical plant is planned to be constructed to produce matte.

The facility will comply with modern environmental and industrial safety standards. In particular, sulfur emissions per 1 ton of produced non-ferrous metals will be less than 21.6 kg. It is planned to dispose of sulfur with the production of gypsum.
