Integrated Development of Kherson Oil Refinery

In October 1999, Alliance Group was invited to manage the interstate Ukrainian-Kazakh project of integrated development project of Kherson Oil Refinery.

In November 2000, the 1st stage of the project (repair and capacity utilization) was successfully completed. National Oil Company Kazakhoil became the main shareholder of the company, while Alliance Oil Company became the management company. ABB Lummus Global was involved in development of the master plan for the refinery reconstruction.

In April 2003, it was noted at the meeting of the President of Alliance Group M.Y. Bazhaev and the Head of Kherson Regional State Administration of Ukraine A.P. Yurchenko that the refinery is one of the most stable and dynamically developing enterprises in Kherson Region with average salary of employees three times higher than the average regional salary.

At the end of 2003 the enterprise started production of A-98 high-octane gasoline for the first time in its history.

In 2004, AVT-2 primary refining unit was installed at Kherson Oil Refinery, and production of winter diesel fuel was mastered.

In early 2005, the industrial production of A-95 and A-98 gasoline was mastered.

In 2007, Kherson Oil Refinery was acquired by WOG (a Continuum Group company).
