Alliance Group is an investment holding and management company
About the Group

General Information

Alliance Group was established in 1998 from a number of companies operating in the domestic and international markets since 1992.

Crisis management

Alliance Group was the first company in Russia to specialize in crisis management, sought by significant private and state-owned enterprises amid economic reforms. In particular, Alliance Group and its team implemented the following projects: Rosneft Oil Company restructuring program, SIDANCO Oil Company asset consolidation, restructuring of Tomsk Petrochemical Plant and Stakhanov Wagon Works (Ukraine), planning and launch of Khabarovsk International Airport, Nakhodka Oil Loading Commercial Sea Port and oil product terminal in Sevastopol, etc.

Managerial experience and know-how gained over a short period of time allowed Alliance Group to form its own industrial assets and grow into a major investment and industrial group.

Alliance Group has been headed by Musa Yusupovich Bazhaev since 2000.

Over a short period of time, Alliance Group has built its own industrial assets and transformed itself into a major investment and industrial group

Creation and development of a vertically-integrated oil company

Alliance Oil Company was created based on assets acquired by Alliance Group in the market. The assets have been vigorously developed in partnership with leading international companies.

Alliance Oil Company covered more than 30% of the Far East region’s demand for oil products, carried out a major reconstruction of Khabarovsk Oil Refinery, established joint ventures with major global companies — Royal Dutch/Shell and Repsol YPF.

ZIA BAZHAEV (1960–2000)
Founder and first president of Alliance Group

Zia Yusupovich Bazhaev was a natural leader. He always set very important tasks for himself, carrying people along with him. He was totally committed to the business he considered really necessary and important. A man of many talents, a production specialist by education and spirit, born in the Soviet Union, an entrepreneur by vocation, he saw his mission in developing large industrial companies, growing together with the regional economies and becoming world-class companies.

One day, when asked a question about who he would like to see himself at the end of his career, Zia Bazhaev answered: “I’d like to say to myself at the end of my life: yes, I tried my best, it was difficult, but interesting...”

He did not have time to do a lot. But he always tried his best.
